Daniel Travers

Biography
Daniel was awarded a PhD with vice-chancellor’s distinction in modern history from the University of Huddersfield, UK, in 2012, examining how collective heritage and identity of societies can be shaped in relation to historical and cultural associations with Britain. He is the author of two books on Identity, influence, and ‘Britishness’ globally. A Sessional Professor at Laurentian, Waterloo, and Trent University from 2011 to 2018, he now teaches history, politics, and humanities at 51ÊÓƵ. Current research interests include legacies of occupation in Hong Kong, Singapore, and the Falklands, and treaty-making and colonialism in early modern North America.ÌýÌý
