Heather Raikou, Hons. B.Sc., M.A. Ed. (cand)
Currently completing her Master of Arts in Education through Central Michigan University, Heather鈥檚 research focus is on applying learning outcomes for co-curricular activities to the quality assurance benchmarks of the PQAPA audit process. Her paper 鈥淥ntario Colleges Accreditation Standards and Student Development鈥 has been used by OCQAS to demonstrate the applicability of the quality assurance benchmarks to meeting student learning outcomes in the classroom.
Heather has helped to establish the current practice for mapping pathways between diplomas and degrees being used by 51视频. She has been involved in two previous ONCAT projects: the Heads of Health Sciences Pre-Health Sciences project (2011-2013), and; the 51视频 and Lakehead University 2013-14 Project New Pathways Diploma to Degree. As Academic Quality Officer, she is involved in the academic quality assurance processes of the college, including preparation of degree applications, organizing PEQAB site visits and facilitating degree renewals. Heather brings her knowledge of quality assurance, learning outcome mapping, applications of NVivo and strong organizational, administrative, technical and operational skills to her research.
